Steven Dudley has investigated and reported on issues ranging from human rights (pdf) and paramilitaries (pdf) to corporate social responsibility (pdf) and justice systems (pdf) for think tanks and non-governmental organizations in Latin America, the US and Europe.
Dudley is currently working with La Fundación Ideas para la Paz, a Colombian non-governmental organization on a study concerning extradition. As the lead investigator and writer, Dudley produces Policy Briefs in English (pdf) and in Spanish (pdf). The study covers Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela and the United States, and is financed by the Open Society Institute.
Dudley recently returned from Honduras, where he was completing an investigation for Human Rights Watch on the conditions following the military coup against now former Honduran President Manuel Zelaya on June 28.
He's currently researching organized crime in Central America for the Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Center. And he's investigating and writing a background report for the International Crisis Group on Guatemala.
